Logan University’s Bachelor of Science in Life Science (BSLS) program is an accelerated approach for obtaining your BS in Life Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degree. In just six years, you can graduate confidently and practice-ready with both a Bachelor of Science degree and your Doctor of Chiropractic.
A bachelor’s degree in life science establishes an understanding of the anatomy and functions of the human body, as well as new approaches to therapy and treatment. Focusing on patient health and clinical care, Logan’s BSLS program prepares students for health-related career services after graduation.
This degree enables students to analyze and determine human physical and behavioral wellbeing by combining advanced research and immersive labs. Using updated technology and tools, students explore the relationship of diet, nutrition, and fitness to the human body.
Admissions Requirements for Bachelor’s Degree Program
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE: HUMAN BIOLOGY AND LIFE SCIENCE (3+1):
The Bachelor of Science degree programs have the following admission requirements:
- Complete the online application.
- For High School graduates and any student with less than 24 semester hours of undergraduate coursework (after
graduating high school):- Request that an official transcript be sent directly to Logan University from accredited High School. If the applicant attended multiple institutions for high school or undergraduate course work, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan.
- 2.5 CGPA (unweighted) from high school.
- ACT/SAT Score (within 7 years) – Logan University does not offer pre-college/ remedial level course work. SAT/ACT scores are used to help determine preparedness for college level English and math course work at the minimum of the 100 level.
- ACT Composite Score Minimum: 23
- SAT Composite Score Minimum: 1100
- Student with a high school CGPA (unweighted) between 2.0 to 2.49 may appeal for Alternative Admissions acceptance to the Admissions Committee.
- Students will be coded as AATP-PREQ.
- Logan University reserves the right to outline special conditions of acceptance for AATP-PREREQ students they believe will optimize a student’s chances for success such as reduced course loads, required tutoring, required meetings with academic success coaches, etc.
- Student without ACT/SAT Score may appeal for Alternative Admissions acceptance to the Admissions Committee.
- Students will be coded as AATP-PREQ.
- Logan University reserves the right to outline special conditions of acceptance for AATP-PREREQ students they believe will optimize a student’s chances for success such as reduced course loads, required tutoring, required meetings with academic success coaches, etc.
- For transfer students with 24 or more semester hours of undergraduate coursework (after graduating high school):
- Request that an official transcript be sent directly to Logan University from all accredited institutions. If the applicant attended multiple institutions for undergraduate course work, an official transcript must be sent from each institution directly to Logan.
- 2.5 CGPA (unweighted) from undergraduate course work.
- Student with an undergraduate CGPA (unweighted) between 2.0 to 2.49 may appeal for Alternative Admissions acceptance to the Admissions Committee.
- Students will be coded as AATP-PREQ.
- Logan University reserves the right to outline special conditions of acceptance for AATP-PREREQ students they believe will optimize a student’s chances for success such as reduced course loads, required tutoring, required meetings with academic success coaches, etc.
- GED/HiSET/Home School – Must meet one of the requirements to start in the Bachelor programs:
- ACT/SAT Score (within 7 years) – Logan University does not offer pre-college/ remedial level course work. SAT/ACT scores are used to help determine preparedness for college level English and math course work at the minimum of the 100 level.
- ACT Composite Score Minimum: 23
- SAT Composite Score Minimum: 1100
- Complete 24 semester hours of undergraduate course work either at Logan University as a none degree seeking student or complete them at another accredited institution.
- ACT/SAT Score (within 7 years) – Logan University does not offer pre-college/ remedial level course work. SAT/ACT scores are used to help determine preparedness for college level English and math course work at the minimum of the 100 level.

In addition to completing the online application, students must request that an official transcript be sent directly to Logan University from accredited high school. Applicants must have a 2.5 CGPA (unweighted) from high school and a minimum ACT composite score of 23 or a SAT minimum composite score of 1100.

How long does it take to become a chiropractor?
Before becoming a chiropractor, one must complete at least three years of undergraduate study in addition to a Doctor of Chiropractic degree program. These DC programs can take anywhere from three to five years. With Logan’s online BSLS program, students work toward their bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the same time. Complete the first year of your DC program while wrapping up your bachelor’s degree. Logan lets you earn both degrees in just six years.
What are the required courses for this degree?
Students must meet the degree requirement when working toward their BSLS. Some of the required courses for this degree include physics, organic chemistry, general biology, and social and behavioral sciences.
